Installation

Requirements

• WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.0 or later.
• The GeneratePress theme, ideally with a child theme. GP Premium is not required.
• GenerateBlocks is optional; GeneratePerf handles its image and media blocks when it is present.

Most admin and SEO features work with any theme, but the front-end features rely on GeneratePress hooks.

Install the plugin

1. Log in to your account and open Downloads.
2. Download the latest version (generateperf.zip).
3. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the file and click Install Now, then Activate.

Activate your license

1. Copy your license key from the License tab of your account. It looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
2. In WordPress, go to Settings → GeneratePerf, click Manage License, paste the key and save.

The site is added to your account automatically the first time it checks for updates, as long as your plan has a free place. Staging and development sites never use a place: see License and sites.

Updates

New versions appear in Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin, with their changelog. The dashboard of GeneratePerf also shows the latest changes in its What’s new? box, and the full history is on the changelog page.
